A: For thousands of years our forefather’s found that certain plants would benefit them when they suffered certain ailments, most if not all modern medicine can be traced back to these far gone days and have stood the test of time. A major benefit with natural remedies is there are very few, if any known side effects that can occasionally be caused with modern medicine.
A: Unless it has a pain killing action that starts to be effective quickly you must allow a minimum 3 to 4 weeks to build up the full effect into your animals system. You must always follow the guidelines given on dosage especially if a product has a loading period.
A: Not all products need a loading dose, normally if you spread the daily recommended dosage over 2 or 3 feeds per day that is fine but you must be prepared for the full effect to take 3 to 4 weeks. After this period once you notice a difference in your animal’s condition you can drop the dosage to maintain the effect in their system, as with all products the recommended daily dosage are only guidelines no two animals will be the same so you must be prepared to adjust the daily dosage to your own observation. If you use a product that says there is a loading period you must follow the instructions and be patient.
A; Liquid supplements are known to get into an animal’s system faster and you can be sure your animal is getting the daily dosage, it can be mixed into your animals feed un-noticed or if your animal is a fussy eater you can syringe it orally. Have you ever noticed how some animal’s will eat their feed and in the bottom of their manger is a tiny pile of powder? With liquid you can be sure your animal is getting the product.
A: Yes that is fine, most good mature wines all have a little sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Most supplements in liquid form will tell you on the label to shake the bottle before use.
A: For horses we recommend 20ml per day, that is 10ml morning and 10ml evening, you can increase this if you feel your animal would benefit but normally 20ml per day is enough.
A: Our products have a measuring section on the side of the bottle so you can be sure you are giving the correct dosage.
A: No like us our animals will only absorb a small percentage of each dosage so it’s no point giving it more it will not work quicker. The only product we have that work quickly is our Soother because that has a pain killing action and the dosage can be increased on this product depending of the severity of your animal’s condition.
A: Yes you can use more than one of our products at the same time, but if you are not sure you can contact us to discuss the problem and our herbalist will check it out.
A: Yes you can but we would always recommend you discussed it with your vet.
