Changes in the season, training, feed or even moving yards can all put the horse’s system under stress. This tonic will support the cleansing functions of the kidneys and liver with the associated benefits that that brings including general condition and brightness.
This liver and kidney ‘Internal Tonic’ has been re-formulated for horses based on an old Chinese remedy used for cleansing the liver and kidneys.
You can use this tonic to improve your horse’s general well being and to improve his general condition and weight, and when you feel that his system has been put under stress.
Being in liquid form the tonic is easily absorbed and can be added to feed.
Buchu leaves;An aromatic shrub common to the Western Cape Mountains of South Africa.
Action; Traditionally used as an herbal remedy for ailments of the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts as it has diuretic and antiseptic properties due to various phenolic compounds.
Nettles; Stinging nettles are abundant throughout the country and usually found in the countryside.
Action;Extracts can be used to treat arthritis, anaemia, hay fever, kidney problems, and pain. Nettle leaf is a herb that has a long tradition of use as an adjuvant remedy in the treatment of arthritis. Rich in Iron.
Directions
Allow 2 weeks for the supplement to load but you may start to notice some benefit before.
Loading - Week 1 & 2 15ml 2 times a day. Morning and evening
Maintenance - 15ml once a day.
With some horses you may need to maintain the level at 15ml twice a day to get the full benefits but you will need to be the judge.
Vine Herbals ‘Internal tonic’ can be fed continuously or when required but the benefit must be allowed to build up over the two week period.
